Earthen
I am earthen, I am clay
Molded by my mothers hands
Scoured by the winds of change
Fractured by your absence, I lack essence
Time erodes all admirations
Fills the cracks and widens them
Forces them open, slowly, painfully
Breaks them down to soil and sand
Boulders can be pummeled into pebbles
Given enough Time
Its just that Time
Is taking much too long
It is not weathering
My stone heart fast enough
The process is agonizingly slow
Across the span of eons and epochs
The cracks that crisscross my soul
Pulse in time with my heartbeat
Obsidian shards flow through my veins
Drawing ragged scars on the inside
I am dust, I am sand
Scattered by heated winds
I have no home to call my own
I settle where the earth catches me
